Kraftmas Day 5 - Vintage Santa Ornaments

Hello again! Welcome to day 5 of Kraftmas!

Today I'm going to show you how to make your own vintage Santa Claus ornaments.

What you need:
Various vintage Santa images, two of each for the front and back of the ornament
Cardboard
Modge podge
Hole puncher
Ornament wire hangers or ribbon

First, you need to find the vintage Santa images that you want to make into your ornaments. I started by Googling "vintage santa claus" and came up with a huge selection of images to chose from. Here are some of the images that I used:

This one comes from The Graphics Fairy

This is from Emoticons Wallpaper

And then here is one from Load Paper

When you find an image that you like, copy to a Word document and scale it to the size that you prefer.   Next, print out 2 of each image, one for either side of your ornament and then cut out the images. Here are all of my cut-outs.

Apply modge podge to the back of the first cut-out, and smooth the image to a piece of cardboard. Next, cut out the image on the cardboard, and glue the second cut-out image to the other side. Finally, apply modge podge on top of the images on both sides to give it a glossy look.

Once the glue is dry, use a hole puncher to make a hole in the top of the ornament. Finally, hook your wire ornament hanger into the ornament or tie a piece of ribbon through the hole.

And you're done!
